Slut in the bedroom??

A man on another post said that all men want a slut in the bedroom. I've always heard this growing up too. Isn't a slut a woman who is dirty and services men? The dictionary definition is:

A woman considered sexually promiscuous.

A woman prostitute.

A slovenly woman; a slattern

All negative, IMO.

I love and enjoy sex to it's fullest potential. Considering the fact that this is the twenty-first century, I think that it's about over due that we come up with a better associated word other than "slut" for a women who enjoys sex(particularly sex within a monogomous relationship). It's very offensive that women who enjoy sex are compared with a person who has little or no self-respect and who is most likely not respected by the men she's having sex with.

Additionally, not all women have to act like sluts(servicing men). I believe that a woman can be extremely sexy and sexual just by being themselves. Which may be the furthest thing from being slutty. It may be she has a sweet, natural, demeaner.

To you slut is negative. But not to everyone. LOL. Give me a break. I think telling your SO that she is a "slut in the bedroom",(a positive thing) and calling her a slut ( a negative thing?) are two completely different things. Get out of high school mentality here. As adults we realize things that used to bother us, no longer do, or shouldn't. Those who have a problem with the word slut, are probably those who were teased, picked on, or labeled one in high school. I never called a woman a slut. But, I have called my SO a "slut in the bedroom".

Got ya. That would be the hog farm neck of the woods right? LOL. A pig to me has always been the sexist, fat slobben, nasty men, who don't care about the way they look, act, or sound. A sexist pig.

Since you specified "sexist" before pig, then they're obviously two seperate entities. There's pig, and there's sexist pig. lol

Women are so used to and conditioned to being compared to sluts and whores---it seems.

YAWN!! I am sorry but I have been reading all 54 new posts since I logged off last night and it is getting quite tiresome of people trying to prove their definition or the way they view the words mentioned is right and everyone else is wrong. Can't we all agree to disagree with those who don't share our same views?

I think they are conditioned to take the term in it's negative conotation. If you stop and look at what I said initially, you will see I did the same thing with the word slut. "A slut in the bedroom" is not the same thing as a SLUT!!!

Then pig in the bedroom isn't the same as a PIG!

I think that everyone pretty much agrees that "slut" outside of the context of the bedroom is a bad thing. Yes, men (at least most) want a woman who is open and adventurous and horny behind closed doors. Who cares what other people call this? It's between you and your SO. There's a big difference between what is said in public and what is said in private. It's up to you and your SO to make up your own rules about what is acceptable and what isn't between the two of you. I don't really think that there is much cultural impact to a wife lovingly calling his wife his "little slut." Everybody just relax a bit
