Are you staying home or dining out or going on vacation?, whats up? A movie? Will you introduce a new toy? Plan on getting any chocolates or flowers for your S.O. this year? Whats your plan of attack?

I'd let you know mine, but uh, Mrs. Para reads this message board quite often, LOL, so that won't work. ;D

AAAAAAWWWWWWWWW YEAH!!! :D

Ol' blue eyes playin in da back while sippin on Bellini in candlelight with the smell of Italian...DANG! LMHO!! You GO girl!!!! ;D

Do me a super duper HUUUUUUGE favor: if you don't mind, either send me the recipe for those entrees or post 'em here if you'd like. I can't imagine how your guy could possibly reciprocate THAT to you, LOL! Good for him. We guys in this world are so blessed I tell ya. ;D

Mrs. Para seduces me with either plum wine or pear brandy, and I mean the AUTHENTIC stuff that has the fruit grown the bottle, perfect drinks. Then she fixes me specially made lamb with her secret recipe or she surprises me every now and then with my favorite: grilled swordfish, WITH Jamaican seasonings. All this with some Glen Miller or Larry Elgart playing. The dessert is what it is, I don't care if this is a sex board or not, I'm leaving it at that, LOL! ;D

Thanks in advance!

We don't do that big a deal out of it, to be honest. It's grown from a 'be sweet to your sweetheart' day into a big, commercial guilt trip. I was in the store the other day - V'Day cards for aunts? uncles? coworkers?? Geesh!

We exchange cards. Sometimes I've gotten a candle or some little thing and I tend to buy him an assortment of chocolates he likes, Dove Dark, something like that. Sometimes I've wished that he would send a bunch of carnations and daisies to me at work, just because I've always thought it was kinda nice to have others see that happen and because I've always worked with a bunch of women who get flowers on that day (but I never do!) However, I'd rather he give me flowers for no reason at all other than because he knew they would make me happy, then for him to go out and spend a ridiculous amount on long-stemmed roses just because The Industry has said he should. Spontaneous gestures mean a lot more to me than guilt gestures.

The fact that he will get up out of his warm bed on a day off and not only warm the van up for me but scrape the windows, says a lot more about his love, IMO. And I'll remember that kind of stuff long after roses have died and been thrown away. Not that I'm not romantic because I certainly am. But not just on the day designated by others for romance.
