Have you ever done something stupid and just not been able to forgive your-self? I am still not sure how this will end, but I am still beating myself up over what I can't change.

What you do is learn from your mistakes.

Beating yourself up is a waste of time and energy. Everyone makes mistakes....no one is perfect. The trick is to learn from your mistake, and never make the same one again.

You'll make others in your life, too. That's human nature. And every time, you'll learn something new.....and move on from there.

only one person can walk on water. It isnt the mistake u make that makes u look stupid it is how u recovered from it and how much u learnd from it. Making the same misstake over again and again or even not relizing u made a mistake then u look stupid. I think thats why we like to hear other ppl mistakes. that way we know what not to do.. ppl tell me all the time dont worry u cant mess this up...and....bingo...I am the one that does and i shut the whole place down doing it....but how quick i am to recover and point out what i did and get involved fixing it makes me look smart...if u push it under the rug and try to act like nothing is wrong u will lose...laugh at it (if at all possiable) and make sure to tell ppl in a way what not to do because u now have experiace make u a better person....remmber u cant laugh at someone else untill u have laughed at ur self first!!!!!!

I don't know how long ago you made a mistake, but I think it's natural to beat yourself up a bit -- especially soon after making a mistake. At some point, you do need to come to terms with the mistake and move forward, including forgiving yourself.

It's what you learn from mistakes, how you handle the repercussions of errors that help you develop into a better person. Knowing that you made a mistake, and learning how to avoid a similar mistake in the future are the first steps in putting it behind you. Allowing yourself to know that you are human, make mistakes as others do, and having the desire to move past the mistake all go into the process of forgiving yourself.
