Well, I don't think all women DO enjoy seeing 2 girls together though. I'm one who doesn't. I would prefer to see men over women any day. IF I'm going to look at naked bodies, I want to see what I DON'T have myself. LOL!

For me, it is a different chemistry. I have never been with a woman, but it is a fantasy of mine. I can't really explain why it is erotic for me. And like Kat said, not all women like it. From my own personal experience, the majority of women don't like it.

i think a large part of it has to do with women being surrounded by sexualized images of women in the media. women are more used to seeing these images, which allows more women to feel comfortable with thoughts of being sexual with other women. also women are permitted more physical expression with other women in our society. men are not really encouraged to hug other men, and there aren't as many scantily clad images of men in the media.

however, i think you underestimate the number of men that have thought of being with another man. i generally talk pretty frankly with my partners and at least 50% of the men i've been with have either been with another man or fantasized about it. so it's not as uncommon as you think.

one other point -- when we envision two men together often people assume they are not masculine, but if two women are together that generally doesn't mean they are not feminine -- so it is not as threatening to gender identity.

There's an evolutionary aspect as well. If I can remember correctly, I think it's called Sexual Demorphism. Most animals in which the male of the species is somewhat larger than the female, ie gorillas, lions, ..etc. there is usually one male grouped with multiple females. When the male and female are closer in size, ie birds, then it's usually one male, one female.

As you go back in human history, say a million years or so, the male was substantially larger than the female.

I'm sure everyone gets just as excited as I do talking about evolution, lol. That's about the extent of my knowledge on Sexual Demorphism, and I don't know to what extent it is correct. However, something is going on as the multiple female fantasy thing is wide spread among us guys. I have known women who fantasy about two men, but it seems rare.

I would imagine that if you can see each guys "Do before I die list" (and the real one, not his politically correct, toned-down version), the two women fantasy would probably be in the top portion of most guy's list.

Why do we need to know WHY some women enjoy watching two women together, and WHY some women enjoy being with other women?

Who cares! I'm female, I'm not a lesbian, and I like watching women together- and I can't wait until the day I myself am with another woman! I don't know why it is . . .

Women are sexier than men. Sure, nothing can compare to a man's penis and the ways it makes us feel . . . but womens' bodies are much more beautiful . . . there's so much more there. A woman's body is like a playground. I don't know. I just don't blame men for being as horny as they are. LOL!

"Women are surrounded by sexualized images of women in the media." Hmmm. When have we NOT been though? Not sure I agree with that being a major reason, Sugar, since that's always been the case. Those were the ONLY sexual images I saw growing up. I never saw sexual images of men until I was in my late teens and I certainly don't feel anymore tempted by women because of all that exposure.

I think the media IS more blatantly sexual now, that's pretty obvious, but women have been used as sex objects to sell things ever since there was media. Nothing's changed really.

I believe girls can be more open about their interest in other women now, because there's no social stigma but there was always experimentation among girls, just as with the boys. I just wonder how much is REAL interest and how much is feigned to appear more sexually uninhibited to guys.

I do agree that there is more homosexual curiosity and interest among men than is really known. A recent Oprah show covering AA males living on the "down low" is a good example of an underground lifestyle that few women know about or men admit to.

The media doesn't have to effect everyone, like in your case. However, it does have an effect on the masses overall. IMHO if we saw more images of men sexualized you'd see more men comfortable with checking other men out and possibly acting on their interest. For me homosexual fantasy and curiousity had to do with understanding my own sexuality more. After I dabbled, the interest died down. No wonder gay people prefer to stay away from the bi-curious crowd.

LOL. I like your enthusiasm for the female form. But I disagree that women are more beautiful. I kinda feel bad for the guys that the rest of their body often goes neglected because of all the penis focus. I think that is both a result of socialization and their earlier sexual peak.

Well, that's basically what I was saying. Those girls who had an interest or curiosity about other girls, on some level, might have been encouraged to explore, by the images they saw...but then, they were already interested, too. And those who didn't have that curiosity, weren't.

But men see other men naked all the time...at school, in the locker rooms, bathrooms, etc. much more often than girls do, so they don't lack for the opportunities to check each other out, if they have an interest. However, the social stigma is still there for men, so I'm sure it will stay underground a while longer.

I totally agree. Men's bodies are gloriously erotic to me. I think both sexes are beautiful, I'm just not turned on by my own.
