Okay, I am pretty certain I know the answer to this question that has plagued me for two years now.....but need to make sure.
I think that my current boyfriend is uncircumsized. He claims that he is (circumsized). I don't want to push b/c it seems to be a sensitive subject for most men. I've only seen a few other penises in my lifetime to compare and they were all circumsized I think! (they looked different)
Okay-- so isn't foreskin skin that covers the head (but not completely) when the penis isn't erect? But when the penis is (erect) it looks no different than a circumsized one?
He would kill me if he knew I wrote this.......

Since you're asking, Yes, I do. Not sure what the other guys do, but it tends to be easier to aim with the foreskin back, with it forward, well,... how do put it politely? It's like trying to aim a high pressure garden hose by holding it three feet behind the nozzle - it goes everywhere but where you want it. The loose tip of the foreskin makes the direction of the flow unpredickable.

I remember when my little brother was potty training and my dad always telling him to pull the skin back, so I suppose that a lot of men do. Wouldn't know from experience though, but I can see how it would be a lot harder to aim

Hi,
My foreskin is 3.5 inches long. It obviously does not pull back to expose the head of my penis when I get an erection. I usually pull it back before intercourse but the skin moves back and forth during penetration. I pull it back to urinate depending on the situation (as to what the urinal is like, etc.) but only about half the time. The excess skin makes wearing a condom difficult. If I pulled the skin back and then placed the condom on, the excess skin pulls forward as I pull back during penetration and the condom eventually comes part way off or all the way off. If I pulled the foreskin all the way forward and then placed the condom on, the skin tends to pull back during insertion and has resulted in condoms breaking. Just my situation and opinion.

Like germt I am also am intact.

My foreskin covers the head of the penis when flaccid. It is long enough it can cover the head when erect as well. Mine, if you roll it back when erect it will stay there till you role it forward again. Like a woman's labia's foreskins vary in length, some shorter some longer and may or may not completely cover the glands when the penis is erect.

As an aside. There is moment among men who had that procedure done to then when they were infants to restore their foreskins. Many are very angry that a part of their penis was unnecessarily surgically removed.

As an aside. A growing number of men who had that procedure done to them when they were infants are very upset and angry over what they justifiably view as a violation of their body. This could be part of why your BF is sensitive about his penis. Many are very angry that a healthy and functional part of their penis was surgically removed with no medical reason and without their consent.

A number of these men are seeking to restore there foreskins. Foreskins can be recreated surgically but the more common method used now is to stretch the remaining skin gradually over time to from a new foreskin and return as best they can their penis to its normal, natural state. Many also report a significant increase in sensitivity and sensation once the glands once they are again protected by a foreskin when the penis is flaccid.

Outside of the US and some middle eastern counties circumcision is very uncommon. It became popular in the US during 20's because doctors believed that it prevented masturbation which doctors believed was unhealthy.
