vibrator advice

My DW has gotten very experimental lately. We have a hand massager that is intended for back and neck massages, but does very well for clit massages as well. She is interested in trying something new. Other than the hand massager she has never really used a vibe before.

This is something we would probably use together as a precursor to sex. It is okay (good) if she orgasms, but I'd rather get a "starter" vibe if that is necessary, rather than the very best for orgasming but more 'advanced'. Or am I over thinking this?

I saw a few simple penis shaped vibrators and some with clitoral stimulators. What would your recommend?

Also, any tips or etiquette I should be aware of?

There are really no rules about vibrators so yes, maybe you are "overthinking" things a bit. IF the old massager works for her, then she might enjoy something with more power BUT there are all kinds to explore if she's interested.

There are tiny ones that strap right on the index finger for clitoral stimulation. We have one and my DH likes to use that get things going but I've also used it on him underneath his scrotum for external prostate stimulation.

The dildo-shaped ones are for those ladies (and men) who enjoy internal vibration but that doesn't do much for me personally. Your wife might also enjoy the "Venus Butterfly" which is actually a pair of panties with a small vibrator built in. It comes with a remote control. Every woman is different though so it's best to experiment and see what works for her.

Try visiting www.goodvibes.com or www.xandria.com to see the many many choices available. You can order online discreetly.

If you don't plan on surprising your wife with something, why don't you both check on-line under sex toy sites.

Not sure if it'll help, but here's my story anyway.

To my knowledge, Mrs. Para has never had a sex toy prior to me getting one for her by surprise. I thought about starting off with a beginner's one just like you're thinking, but I instead got her the most expensive one.

I guess I treated the shopping experience like a typical guy would and simply got her the best one. I can't even remember the name of it anymore, but it was supposedly the one on Sex in the City according to the sales lady.

NOOOOO complaints from the Mrs. about it. I even got her one of those rechargeable battery kits that recharge batteries in only 15 mins.!!

After her face went from beet red back to normal while opening other presents, she was impressed with how much I thought of her to even get the battery thigamajigee. Awesome!

I have two vibrators, so here is my advice with my limited experience. Get something that you can adjust the vibrations on. You are not always in the mood for strong or soft vibrations. One vibe I have can be used internally, and the other can be put on your finger. The one that can be used internally I like for solo play or for double penetration with hubby, as well as him using it on me just for my pleasure. The finger tip one I also use alone, but also like to have it for some fun during sex. I like having the choice between the two. I have bought items from adam and eve, and alot of times you can get free toys and movies with your order, they send you 50% off coupons etc so if you shop sales it can be very affordable to experiment.

That would be anal and vaginal at the same time.

Congratulations on your open mindness regarding vibrators. My husband and I have been using different vibrators to increase the please we both feel. Yes I use them on him too. He loves it when I have it on low and rub his perineum with it. I have small ones, big ones, clitoral stimulator ones. They are all great depending on the feeling you wish to achieve. The big one is more for the feel inside the vaginal opening. The small one is perfect to place in your underwear as you walk around the house, or for anal penetration. And the clitoral stimulator is great if you want to use it on your partner or have your partner use it herself to achieve a unbelievable orgasm. If you are to purchase a clitoral stimulator I highly recommend that you spend the extra money and get one with several speeds and there are even some which provide a circular motion. If the vibrator has only one speed it is usually too fast which numbs the area instead of pleasuring it.

I hope this helps and enjoy experimenting with your new toys.

My wife and I have several different sex toys. One that is fairly inexpensive, but works great for both of us is the vibrating egg. We use it on her clitoris and my penis. Of course all women love the rabbit. We also have 2 vibrating dildos which she uses some and a Pocket Rocket which is also great for both of us. Have fun!!!
