>>Was this meant as a joke or are you actually being serious?<<
I should have said, " there are, or seems to be, many men....
Sorry, my dry sarcasm gets misunderstood a lot without being able to see my facial expression. I was joking sarcastically, but at the same time there are men, who really don't show much tact. I have sat and watched many women, including my SO, be subjected to some pretty disgusting advances. The reasons for which can only be that the guy thinks his tact works and is liked, or he just doesn't care, and enjoys having women reject and run away from him.
Yes, little different scenario but just ask any woman who has walked past a construction site and been subjected to the comments about her body, kissing/ sucking sounds, wagging tongues, whistles and catcalls knows that the perpetrators don't expect a positive response.
And I've actually and asked one of those guys how THEY would feel if their mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, etc. were being treated the same way by their buddies? They know what they're doing isn't appreciated and I suspect that the men who make those disgusting advances in bars, etc. know the same thing.
Kat , I am totaly against men at construction sites and the like "ganging up" on women walking by and making them the objects of sexual harassment. I wouldn't want to be part of such a situation. That is an aggresive act and these men are trying to get fun at the expense of intimidating the women.
My theory of ogling is different. All I am doing is to appreciate a lovely swishing bottom, admire an exceptionally prominent mons veneris, maybe a perky nipple. The same glances that the waitress girls gave to mancreature in his situation.
No, I really had no idea that white pants would be more likely to show my package. I think it's safe to say that, as a group, women are more attuned to what various colors can do. To this day, I still don't know why white would make things more visible, but a waitress told me that's how it works and I take her word for it. Actually, I'm so non-visual it's scary at times.
Okay, the same reason men AND women wear something under a summer weight white dress shirt is the very same reason why you would wear something under white pants. Flesh and dark hair shows through.
Well, I'm sure some women would argue that what you're doing is no different though, only on a more passive level. However, if a woman doesn't want her body noticed at all in a public place, she'd have to wear a burka.
Most of the ladies' overt reaction to my ogling has been outward indifference - (sometimes the sashay has got just that wee bit swisher) - I have got dark looks, and believe it or not, I have actualy got smiles (plain friendly smiles, I assure you, not slutty come hither ones, never once). This is what makes me think it is harmless fun and need not mean anything.
I don't know whether a lot of ladies will agree with you on your burka comment though. If you were a man, you would be called a sexist MCP and you might see me in the crowd lynching you. But come to think of it, I think I know what you mean, there was this woman that was wearing Black lacy thongs beneath her VERY light colored pants, and when my eyes strayed, she did not like it! Seen in the light of mancreature's experience, I am a bit confused !
My burka comment was sarcastic. We're not going to give up all we've accomplished to go back in time to THAT.
But it's not realistic to expect no one to look at you if you're in a public place. Particularly, if you are dressed somewhat provocatively. Although, I've been covered from neck to ankle before and still been leered at. So, what are you going to do? Stay home?
I don't mind being looked at but be discreet about it otherwise, it makes most women uncomfortable.

Yep do agree with your observations.
