Oh my gosh, you're too funny! Thank you so much for the welcome back, and for the new kitty pix. I'm rather fond of the feline Pope...maybe he'll make an appearance for the next Holy Day. I hope that wouldn't be considered blasphemous.
I seriously considered using the leopard as my avatar for a while but I couldn't pass up the purple-haired, eyeglass-wearing beauty I settled on since my hair went kind of wild during vacation (but at least didn't turn purple) and I just ordered new glasses (bifocals -- I must officially be middle-aged).
Thanks Misty! When I was a kid, I had a cat that looked a lot like the one on the right, and I have a Christmas ornament that's a miniature black cowboy hat. He would have looked just like that cat but probably would not have tolerated having a GD hat put upon his head.
I'm the only person I know who has to take their glasses OFF to read, but can't make her way to the bathroom without them, LOL.
Nope, I had to take them off to read too, then put them on to see distances (although I can make my way around the house without them). Funny story...somewhere during the taking off/putting on process, I missed the "putting on" part, so now my old glasses are sitting on a cafe table -- or more likely, in a lost-and-found bin -- in Hawaii. I still have my prescription sunglasses for driving until the new glasses arrive in about 10 days.
Oh no, you're not the only one. Although with several more years of practice than you have yet, I navigate more than just going to the bathroom without my seeing glasses. I can still read well enough without my distance glasses, however, and do most other necessary things.Several years ago, six, in fact, I tried a pair of progressive lenses and nearly died from horror. The damn things wouldn't work I was convinced they were broken, and the first time I tried to go down a flight of stairs with them I panicked, nearly feel and wanted to cry. It turns out I have a problem of divergance and couldn't bring the two images together. Awful, just awful.I want my young eyes back, please. lol

Ooops! That must have been the blinding sun in Hawaii that made them stay on the café table.Have I mentioned I'm glad to see you back, glasses or no glasses?
