So..we did the deed.. its been two days and not a peep. is this a bad thing? how long should we go without speaking. I'm worried. please help.

That all depends.....how long have you known him.....what kind of relationship is this...Did he say he'd call you?
If you don't know him well, if you're not in a relationship with him....he's not obligated to call you at all. If he wants to see you again, he'll call, but there's no specific time frame.
You "did the deed" isn't enough information to even speculate.

What kind of relationship do the two of you have? How often did the two of you talk prior to having sex?
I would only be concerned if there was a change (for the worse) in his behavior. Not knowing his personality or more details about your relationship, it's hard to speculate.
Have you tried calling him?

As the others have asked, what kind of relationship are you in (dating, exclusive, hook-up) and how well do you know him.
Depending on how long you have been dating, or IF you are dating at all, he could be freaked out, too. If it's still a very new relationship, and the future has not been discussed, he may feel that he took advantage of you or that things went too quickly, and therefore thinks that he's giving you space and letting you sort out your feelings. He might even think he didn't give a sufficient performance.
IMO, you need to give him a ring and check in. Just say hi and ask how he's been over the last few days. If he's the kind of guy worth being with, he will be happy to hear from you, and as long as you keep the conversation light (ie, don't demand to know where he's been these days or why he hasn't called, don't call him "schmoopie" or sound like the relationship is further along than it is) he will probably be so relieved you still like him that he'll ask you out.
Good luck!
