As he said in the Boston article, he's cocky. I find guys like that interesting, and in my single days, had a rather good time messing with their heads. I didn't think the article on iVillage was as cocky, and actually found a lot of what he said there to be what I would consider good advice! Whether in work or love, "dress to impress" is often a motto, and can get you further.
"Every woman wears a dress differently. The only hard-and-fast rule is to pick a dress that accentuates your best body parts. Whether you have a gorgeous back, incredible thighs, or lovely collarbones, stock up on designs that not only fit but also highlight those attributes."
I find advice like that above to be very practical. It's something I can imagine my grandmother saying, and it's definitely something I wish more young women were taught. I see a lot of women dress in what they believe to be the hottest fashion, without regard to how it looks on her body.
I wasn't as impressed with what he said about hair, but hey, he's allowed to have his opinion too, lol.
I think the article also needs to be read in the context it was written. When in a night club, people aren't usually looking for stimulating conversation. Often, it s how you look that sets you apart from the crowd. Right, wrong or indifferent, it's true for both men looking at women, and women looking at men.

He came across like every smarmy lounge lizard who thinks he's God's gift to women, and has ever tried hitting on you in a bar.
Oh Steve...I used the word smarmy last week and I got called on it. It is a word!
I would categorize Steve Santagati as the foremost expert on vacant, mindless
Mrs P
I am chuckling here, Steve. While we were out last night, we were in packed conditions of a mixed sort. Most people in this area of Florida are so laid back, very relaxed, perhaps a little overly relaxed.
Because the entertainment last night was the draw, the crowd varied a little more than normal. I noticed several single women, working their ways with the gentlemen. I started mentally labeling them as to whether or not they would pass the "Steve Santagati" list. It was quite entertaining, and served to remind me how nice it is to be at this happy stage in my life.
