When did you start using the Pill?

I'm starting a new contraceptive pill called ALESSE. The pharmacist told me I have to start on a Sunday during\after my period. I was wondering...does it really need to be SUNDAY?? Could I start it on any other day of the week?

Of course it doesn't have to be Sunday! It can be any day. Sunday is a good day.....beginning of the week, beginning of a new cycle! Are they the 21 or the 28? If it's the 21, then you don't have the placebo pills to keep you in the habit of taking a pill every day. Then for SURE you have to remember which day to start them.
The really important part is that you take them every day at the same time.....EVERY day! You can't take today's at 7PM and then tomorrow's at noon! Every day, same time every day. If you don't, the hormone levels in your body could drop, and you could ovulate. If you forget a pill one day, do NOT double up the next day. Just use protection for the rest of the cycle. Then at the end of the cycle, skip the last active pill or the first placebo, so that you stay on the same start day every cycle.
