Who Are You Missing....

Every now and then I think about people who haven't posted in a while and wonder where they have gone. I find that I miss them, miss their "voice".

While I certainly understand RL taking precedence over posting... I go quiet myself often...I still think about those that I don't see often. Some will keep us up to date on life's happenings and vacations. Others leave me wondering.

Today I am thinking about scorpiowoman and Magenta Starr...two very strong and interesting women I very much enjoy.

Hi ST!

(I have been mostly a lurker on the IVil bds for the past 2 yrs, so am not really a known entity here, but remember you from the FB bd, and have somewhat followed your journey with your mother). Anyway, I just wanted to pass on my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother. I'm sure everything is just surreal for you now, but at least you know that she is in a better place and at peace, now, after the long battle she has fought. I can relate to the grief, loss and sorrow as I've lost both my parents in the last 20 yrs (mom to cancer, dad to Alzheimer's). For me, these losses (& those of other close friends & relatives) drives home the valuable idea that 'life is too short not to be happy.'

As you probably know, we all grieve in our own way...in our own time. So, let yourself cry & give yourself the space to grieve. You know that you've done everything possible to make your mom's last breaths comfortable, so you deserve a huge hug & pat on the back!! Be strong and I know you'll get through the next few days with flying colors!

BTW, I reside in a neighboring state, so feel like we hail from the same neck of the woods!

Peace and love, hbunny

ST, thanks so much for stopping by and letting us know what is going on in your life. I had no idea -- I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the struggle has been there for a long time too.

(((((H U G S)))) and more (((((H U G S))))).

I will be keeping you in my thoughts.

Hey MM! Yeah, I hadn't posted nor lurked for quite a long time & started re-lurking a couple of months ago. I used to just lurk on FB until I heard that the crowd also hung out here!! (Don't have the time or energy to post much, though!) I had heard that you were CL on a couple of the bds -- you're doing a great job! It really is a loving & inclusive community on these iVil bds! It's great that everyone can be supportive and empathic when RL issues are on the forefront, instead of the fun stuff!!

hugs, hbunny

It's great to be able to interact and share w/all types of folks, even in the virtual world, eh?

I saw on your profile that you have 2 teenage DSs. I have a 14 y.o DS -- he's about to start HS & decided to go out for the freshman football team -- kinda surprising to me as he's always been into soccer. He's also a buddin' musician (electric bass & vocals). I have a 17 y.o DD starting her Senior yr. What about yours?

My 16 yo son is the musical one. He's been playing an electric guitar for several years, although he's not in any sort of band. He's entering 11th grade this year. He got his driver's license a month or so ago, so there are a lot of changes going on with him.

My 13 yo son is a special needs student in middle school. He's entering the 7th (instead of 8th) grade this year. Because of his speech and language delays, he has a difficult time fitting in to most situations with peers. The internet has opened a world of opportunity for him as it makes it much easier for him to communicate and be understood.
