Who was the first in your current or last relationship to say 'I love you'?
In mine it was him. We had been watching a movie at his old place and he had half fallen asleep, as had I. However when the movie ended, I woke up and realized it was time for me to head home. I gave him a kiss good-bye and headed towards the door, as I was opening the door and stepping out I hear "Love ya babe". It put me into total shock and rendered me speechless. I shook my head in surprise and headed home. The next day when I'm heading home after spending most of the day with him I say it. He them mentions how I scared him the night before by Not saying it back, he was afraid he'd said it too soon, and scared me away. I had to explain how it had surprised me because I knew coming from him (versus all of my previous relationships) he really meant it the first time he said it. So that's my story, what's everybody else's?

He said it first quite a while before I said it.
I admit it... I did...
Outright he asked me, about three months into dating...

Your words really resonated deep with me.
Great question, Kee! I love having these types of memories stirred up.
He was the first one to say it. I had been away for a couple of days. When I got back, he was telling me how much he missed me. Later that night, he was telling me how lucky he felt to have found me, and ended that conversation with "I think I have fallen in love with you."
It was a few weeks after that before I was sure he was the one. LOL, he was so relieved to hear it when he discovered I felt the same.

DH was the first to put his feelings into words.
He says he knew very early on that he was finished "looking" and said so.
I took longer to arrive at
