Hi,

I am new to this board and have a question.

I lost my virginity last year in May, and it wasn't painful the first time, but every time afterwards I have this bad discomfort.

I have had three sexual partners since then, and with all three of them I had this discomfort.

There can be many reasons that sex can be painful, and your body gives you pain when something is wrong.

If it feels like someone is "kicking your cervix"......it's probably because someone is pounding on your cervix!

Rubbing against the urethra during intercourse can be caused by the postions you're using.

Hi again...

Well, something amazing happened tonight... I discovered WHY I can't enjoy sex!

My boyfriend and I decided to try having sex without the condom and it felt amazing!! I mean... I think the reason I can't enjoy sex is because of the stupid condom. That burning sensation and the irritation afterwards....condoms fault. And I haven't been able to orgasm because it would hurt so much while he was thrusting...but without the condom, it felt wonderful and I was on the verge of climax.

I am so extremely happy!!! I thought something was wrong with me that I couldn't enjoy sex and climax, but now I understand why everyone loves sex.... its ....wow. lol

Okay...sorry for the ramble, but I had to share. Thanks for all of your help Sakura! =)

Just something to think about, were the condoms latex? I have a sensitivity to latex, not allergic, just sensitive, enough that

Moon, thanks for sharing that info. I had no idea that latex allergies tied in with those fruits!

I appear to have a mild latex allergy. We don't use condoms, but I have problems with bandaids and tape adhesives. I have to use those kind that breath, or they literally pull my skin off with them after a days use.

I also have to be careful about shoes. Those Summer sandals with plastic type soles and some rubber soled shoes cause me problems.

It's great that you discovered that the condoms might be the cause of your problems.

I wanted to add a couple of things ...

If you are having sex frequently, that could contribute to the irritation of both your urethra and the pain from having your cervix hit. The friction on the urethra can cause some irritation, and if you're not letting that die down prior to engaging again, it will make it feel more painful. Same with the cervix. The bumping against it can feel very nice, but if it's done enough, and with enough force, it begins to feel bruised and tender. That feeling can take a few days to go away.

I would just like to encourage the use of condoms :) I too am sensitive to latex, and there are alternatives to latex condoms out there - we enjoy the Avanti ones by durex. Also, if they have spermicide or lube on them, that can also be the culprit. I know spermicide irritates the heck out of me.

Interesting note about the fruit - i can't eat honeydew or cantaloupe melon at all! Never knew it was related to latex!!!
