Ladies...

I have some questions about orgasms...

1. Do you have VAGINAL (not clitoral) orgasms during intercourse?

2. Do you ever have multlple orgasms? If yes, have you always had them or did you start having them later in life?

3. I've heard there is an area deep in the vagina called the "cul-de-sac" and when stimulated is what causes vaginal orgasms. Is this true?

4. I've also heard that it takes a longer than average penis for this area to be stimulated. Is this true? If this has happened to you was your SO penis longer than average?

Thanks for the info!

That would depend on the woman AND the man though. Not all women have exactly the same size or depth vaginas and they don't all balloon the same amount with full arousal. The average vagina is between 4-6" long when aroused. My DH is average in size and he can bottom out in certain positions.

buteraej, you are correct...the cul de sac is the very deepest part of the vagina accessable after "tenting" has occured. Tenting is the lifting of the cervix/ uterus out of the way to allow deeper penetration. In most cases a longer than normal penis is required to reach that area...But dont worry, most women have no feeling there, although some women do report lots of pleasure when it is stimulated...My wife , for one, says there is no feeling there, and if the angle is wrong, even if she is fully aroused, the cervix can be hit and it hurts her a lot.

Well....how would any of us know that? We could all be utilizing the cul-de-sac and not be aware of it. Some women have very sensitive cervixes, while other's do not. The cervix itself is basically neverless, but I think that the pressure that the penis places on it, causes a chain reaction that causes pain. If the average woman is 4-6" in depth, and the average penis is 5"-7" then it would seem that the cul de sac is frequently being used. Even as experienced and as aware as I've tried to be, I still can't tell. The only thing I do know is that during masturbation, if I place my finger as deep as I can(without any of my hand entering), then I reach something at the tip. It feels spongy and tissuey. It feels as though I'm "entering" into something. Even though I'm not "long" enough to enter past this point....just massaging that area is enough. I just assume that this is the "end" of my vagina, which would make me only about 4, 5" the most. My husband's penis(8") no doubt reaches past this point during coitus each and every time, otherwise how could he fit at all? Which would indicate to me that he is in the cul-de-sac always, and that's whether I'm somewhat aroused, or very aroused. There are times when when I'm not really into it, and the most I feel inside is "good"(at first anyhow, then it usually escalates from that point). For me, anyhow, that indicates that arousal plays a very large part on the sensations within my vagina, just as it plays a large part on the outer genitals. But my point is, that given the averages, that it's likely that many women are accessing their cul-de-sacs and are just not aware of it--I know that I'm not....and I try and pay close attention for the sake of gaining first-hand knowledge.... ;-)

P.S. the-clitoris.com states that tenting occurs during the plateau phase, but I'm willing to bet that it occurs during the excitement phase or somewhere in between.

This is what they say about it:

"Increased vasocongestion in the vagina causes the outer third of the vagina to swell, resulting in the vaginal opening decreasing in size, perhaps 30%.
The inner two thirds of the vagina balloons out. A woman may experience a strong desire to be filled, a vaginal ache."

(the inner 2/3rds of her vagina balloons out?) If you go the site. Click on frames. Then "Orgasm" on the left side; scroll down to the middle of the page where you see the photo of the four stages of orgasm; click on it to enlage it, you will see it to explain it better.

Imagination is more important than knowledge." (Albert Einstein )

Just makes sense that the more engorged a penis or a vagina is, the more sensation one will experience.

And from all I've read, the cul de sac is nothing more than the area behind the uterus that can be stretched to accomodate a longer erection. Doesn't necessarily mean that it is being stimulated when touched or hit with a larger erection, just that that individual woman may enjoy that stretched-to-the-max sensation.
