My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years, and we started having sex about a year and a half ago. I had a lot of pain and problems at first because I had an unusually thick hymen. But that pain is long gone and the sex has been really good for a while. Last night we started having sex and everything was fine then this strange pain started. I tried to ignore it but eventually I had to make him stop (never a fun thing). The pain happened everytime he pushed inside me. It still hurts today if you push on my abdomen about midway between my belly button and vagina. Does anybody have any idea what this pain is?
I'm prone to UTIs so I always urinate before and after sex to avoid them, so I know it isn't like that. If it doesnt stop by tomorrow should I go see my gynocologist?

If he was pushing hard and deep, he was probably hitting your cervix....which can be very painful, and can hurt for a day or two afterwards, too. If it goes away in a few days, then don't worry about it. If it persists for more than 3-4 days, then call your gyno, and see if they think it should be looked at.
YOu don't get that kind of pain from UTI's....you get pain or burning when you urinate, frequent urination and possibly blood in the urine.
