Sigh...

Is it true that people, in general, think that guys, in general, prefer the cute type of ladies more than the mature type of ladies?

Male message board I read a little bit over the weekend discussed how "all" men prefer that type of trait/personality in women. I couldn't believe it was coming from men AND women.

Am I in the minority again? Is this how everyone thinks about men? Did I miss something?

Do people think in such a myopic sense? I know plenty of women who possess both qualities, and I think that most men are attracted to such women (whether or not they would pursue them is another matter) and would not be hesitant to admit it.

Any one, or group of people who would state that ALL men (or women) prefer ANYTHING is/are very strange, small minded, opinionated, or just plain stupid.

That would be the same as saying ALL men like boxer shorts, or ALL men like broccoli. Even someone who's generalizing says "most" if they have any brains at all. That's in the same category as the questions on these boards....."do men like (....fill in the blank...)"

As Mr.E mentioned, there are some women who posess both qualities. Many of the men I've known in my life, those who were great lovers, have "reminisced" about their first partner, who was often older, and mature, and was able to teach them the facts of life and love! I don't know if "most" men have experiences like that, but I know many do, so there goes the theory! Not ALL men just go for "cute".

Welll......

Define "cute" and define "mature" for starters. :-)

I think that we can safely say that the majority of men are more likely prefer a young attractive female compared to the same female but 30 years older.

So if "cute" means "young and attractive" and "mature" means "older and attractive" then generally, Yes, men will prefer "cute".

In fact, just from personal observation, it may not be ALL men that prefer this, but it is certainly a very large majority; and any sensible person knows that when the word "all" is casually thrown around that there are bound to be exceptions. This situation is no different from any other.

Why worry about it? It's a solid, proven, and every-day-in-your-face fact.
