Hello Diane, and welcome to the board. It's great to see you delurking!

I have a toy store nearby, and I have to say, I've always felt comfortable being in there. I know it's because of the staff -- it makes all the difference in the world.

Glad you found one near you that's a winner!

LOL, it's amazing how often the clerks at such stores are older ladies, lol. We have a "novelty shop" near us that looks like a castle and it's pretty neat inside there, too. It's fun to shop there just because of all the collectibles and other great stuff they have, and the clerks are always really interesting characters, lol.

Stephanie, you know I'm dying to know if that novelty store is over a state line or something .....

(Somehow I imagine Steve would really have a good time in a novelty store that looks like a castle. LOL, do they have a dungeon?)

I guess I just always pictured the employee to be some scruffy big guy that would give you the creeps. But she was really nice and kinda reminded me of Sue Johanson from talk sex with Sue. She made use feel very comfortable.

LOL... here is a funny fact for you. I never knew that old people eat pizza till I was in high school and my mom stopped for pizza on our way to Grams. And She ATE it.

Oh, and they do have a section that kind of *looks* like a dungeon - it's a really cool store to shop in, whether you're there for the novelties or you're looking for costumes, makeup, wigs, collectibles, etc.

LOL, I found out that old people use sex toys when my dad and I were at my mom's mom's house helping her move furniture out of her bedroom so she could paint and one rolled out from under the bed, lol. Daddy picked it up and then started laughing hysterically and handed it to me and told me to take it to my gm. It was just one of those sleek off-white plastic things so I didn't have a clue what it was. My gm came in, saw the thing in my hand, blushed scarlet and said, "I've been looking *everywhere* for that neck massager!" and took it from me. It wasn't until I heard him telling my mom he'd found gm's vibe that I knew what was so funny, lol.
