Need feedback from ladies

First of all I am quite serious about this question and I have been thinking about it for more than a year, so please read on. I am just looking for the female point of view.

My wife and I have enjoyed many sex toys in our marriage. I have noticed a complete lack of INTIMATE toys that provide an in and out 'stroke' for women. When I search for them online so many look like industrial machinery. I want something a lady could keep in her bedroom and feel comfortable using. I think I could really make something that women would want and enjoy, not something just for their men to watch them use. It would be something you could even use under the covers of your bed.I think I have an idea that would fit a woman's body and get rid of the negatives of the current choices.

I have a technical degree and so I understand ergonomics and design. I know my wife would be OK helping me with it, but at some point I would need more feedback about the product so that it would have a form that works for all variations in that region of a woman's body. Without that it would pretty much be a worthless endeavor.

Could the ladies on this forum please give me some suggestions about how (or if) I should proceed? Do YOU think there is even a desire from women for this? Who would really even test this for me? Is this something I should pursue? If my wife was the person asking the questions, would that make it easier for a lady to consider testing it? It would be much better if I talked to the ladies directly about what works and what could be better, but I doubt most women would even be comfortable with that.
