I'm not sure if this is the right board or not, but here goes. I'm a 46 year old married woman that has lost 130 pounds. I feel like a new person. One of the things on my list is to get my nipples pierced. My SO is having a fit about it! Should I do what I want or do what he wants?

Hi Robin, and welcome to the board.
I think my answer would depend on varying factors. Is he concerned about what others will think, or that they'll learn of it? or, Is he concerned about your health and well being?
If it's the latter, I would try to educate him on the risks (and pleasures) involved. Ultimately, I would do what it was that I really wanted to do *for myself and no one else), especially when it comes to how I take care of my own body.

No one but you and your SO are going to know if you get your nipples pierced unless you tell them (assuming you don't go topless around his family lol).
If this is something you really want to do, I say go for it! I have mine pierced and love them, as does my SO. You worked hard to change your body (congrats btw) and if you want reward yourself that is your choice. Make sure you do your research and go to a reputable studio.
