For me it's that the nicer weather seems to finally be on its way. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we won't be having anymore cold weather from now on.
Something else that has gotten me kind of excited is that I've been reading this book called Confederates in the Attic, which is about the South's obsession with the Civil War. My great-grandfather on my father's side fought in the war, so I've been surfing the net trying to find more information about him. Now I want to go downtown to the state archives and look up more about my family tree. For example, I found online that the great-grandfather of my own great-grandfather was born in SC in 1765 and now I'm wondering if we had family who had fought in the American Revolution. And I'm also wondering now when my family got to America. I think it would also be cool to find out what kind of people we had in the family, like if we had any rogues or pirates or anything romantic like that.
Well, one thing that has made me smile is that I'm back to posting on the love boards, been gone for a while. The other thing is kinda sad but makes me smile at the same time. My DH is finally back to work after being laid off for over a year. YAY! The sad......he works in another state so his schedule is 2 weeks there and 2 weeks at home. But I am so relieved he is working again.
