My libido died last spring and I found out that it was because of my thyroid. Have you been having any other symptoms lately, like unusual weight gain, periods acting wacky, hair loss, fatigue, etc.? Those are all symptoms of hypothyroidism, which is what I have. A simple blood test will tell your doctor if it is a thyroid problem. You didn't say how old you were. Could it possibly be perimenopause that you are going through? The first thing that I'd do is get checked out by a doctor to see if everything is ok. I'm sure that the other ladies here can give you some other advice as well.

Welcome to the board, sxy_momma22. I see that sisterhoney has given you some good advice. Also, you've done the first step, which is to take the decision to work on this. Good luck with the rest of it, and I hope your check-up goes well.

I'm Nenu, co-cl along with Meme.

I agree with sisterhoney...I'm hypothyroid too and one of my big symptoms was a loss of libido. There are different medical conditions that can cause this so be SURE to mention to your Dr that one of your symptoms is a CHANGE in your sex drive/libido. If they aren't listening to you find another dr.

Here are some links about thryoid issues and a symptom checklist you can print out and take to your dr.
