We're getting the first (and smaller) part of our one-two snow punch right now. The big one is coming in tonight.

They keep upping our snowfall estimates (currently pegged at 14"), and both our kids' schools canceled last night, which almost never happens around here — they always want to leave open the possibility that things will improve overnight and they'll be able to have school after all. Hardy Yankees, and all that.

Since I'm such a generous person, I'll let you keep all of it.

You're too kind! LOL

I was just looking at some snowfall statistics. A typical winter for us would be 34" of total snowfall. Last winter, which was particularly brutal, we got 52". As of yesterday afternoon we already had last winter beat by 4", and we still have 6 weeks to go until we can safely count on being done with snow. I am so sick and tired of winter already. The only good thing about it, at this time of year, is it doesn't stick around long. By Saturday the thermometer is supposed to hit 50° again.

Yes, but if it warms up that quickly, and that much, isn't it going to be a wet, sloppy flooded mess? I hope your storm sewers are cleared and the gratings not blocked...
