Does anyone have any idea - how smoking affects sexual life for both men and women? Many studies suggest that it reduces the apetite for sex. If anyone has personal experience, pls share?

I was a smoker for 25 years until I quit last year.

Congratulations on quitting Tish. I personally have VERY strong opinions on tobacco-way beyond the usual "sue the companies for medical payments"-IMO that only benefits lawyers.

Tish,

When you get the urge to smoke jump on DH instead! And if he's not around masturbate. Both are healthier and much more fun than smoking.

I was a smoker for 20+ years; I quit the day DH and I got married (11 years ago on 10/22). Personally, it had no effect on my libido. I had a tough first year (there were trigger moments that were tough, tough, tough, but I got through them). And, last year, after almost 10 years w/out smoking, I went to a party and I can tell you I almost lit up, but I didn't....it really stunned me.

My DD who hated my smoking is now smoking herself and has for a few years ...sigh...she's 17.

Although I think there are an awful lot of things wrong with smoking, I don't think lower libido was ever on my list for quitting.
