Did you have sex on your wedding night?

The "Do Weddings Make You Horny" thread made me think of my own wedding night. We were so exhausted but emotionally exhilerated that we decided to take off right after the reception. We drove for hours and realized that this had been a stupid thing to do without a reservation. They didn't have a room for the extra night.

We would up in a family resort in a rooming house sort of set-up. The bathroom was out in the hallway and had to be shared. The racy lingerie didn't get to make a surprise appearance that night.

OH, and the bed situation, TWINS. We used only one, which really wasn't a problem for us. We cuddled and fell asleep. We made up for it the next night.

SO, how about you? Did you have sex on your wedding night?

We didn't go far on our Wedding night, just 20 minutes or so to a Holiday Inn. Yes, there was sex that night, but like LM, we were exhausted and it wasn't all that intense. We made up for it the next couple of days...

Yep, sure did. Wasn't our best and certainly wasn't our worst and after almost 12 years I can only remember bits and pieces.

The week before my wedding day I was very sick with the flu. My father in law came over to move some of my bride to be belongins into the house. He found me passed out next to the toilet with a high fever. My first taste of food in a week came at the day before our wedding at the grooms dinner. My wife to be spent a lot of time with me when I was sick trying to nurse me back to health. Day of the wedding I was still a little weak but did ok. We got to the hotel and my bride said she was not feeling well. We had sex once and went to sleep. I woke up and she was in the bathroom getting sick. She caught my flu!

We had some great sex that night. Well it was interupted once by my best friend who had to pound on the door to tell me he wrecked my truck leaving the hotel. I remember my dad and brother grabbing him and shoving him down the hall.

Hey, in some cultures that is almost part of the rite (minus the damage to property).

I truly believe it is stories like yours and mine that bind couples and help them to stand the test of time.

I should have taken it as a sign to come that sex would just continued to be interuppted either by friends, kids, neighbors...

Mine too, everything went wrong buy everything important went right.

He got locked in a bathroom with the best man just before the ceremony. They climbed out a window, scaled a stone ledge to get to a window they could get in.

I was nervous and would not let anyone help be dress. I started to tear the zipper on the form fitting wedding gown. My daddy saved it.

I walked out into my parent's living room in gown and high heels and realized that I would never make it down the aisle in heels (I was shaking and wobbling) so my sisters rummaged through their closets for a pair of low heeled shoes. This resulted in my gown dragging on the ground a bit. But also in that my feet never hurt, and I danced to every song played and had a great time.

In began to rain just after the ceremony as we where taking pictures. We made a mad dash for the limo. The photographer clicked one last picture. It looks like we are leaving and that out of sight guests are throwing rice.

I love when we can laugh at adversity.

We have a friend that cut her honeymoon short because things were not to her liking or were going wrong. She had a hissy fit and just left. Went to the airport and came home.

We didn't...but here's the story why.

We were not supposed to leave for our honeymoon until Monday morning.
