Edible Lubricant?

Hello guys,
I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was grrrrrrrrreat! My husband and I got very "acquainted" with each other this weekend. The spent our whole Friday night between the sheets and most of Sunday as well. I was so sore this morning after all our weekend activities, but man was it ever worth it.

So anyway, while we were fooling around last night (I was giving him a handjob), I was thinking to myself, he doesn't seem to get as much pleasure out of hand stimulation as I'd like, I mean he stays erect, but I've never brought him to orgasm this way. I decided to look up some tips for giving great "hand". After reading up on some websites, I realized what I was missing....Lubrication! Normally when I start out with hand stimulation, I get excited and start giving oral, so the saliva provides lubrication, but there are times (like when your nether and mouth regions need a rest) that I'd like to pleasure him to climax without oral or regular intercourse. The websites stated that regular lubrication such as KY jelly makes handjobs just that much better, and will be sure to get a thumbs up from your guy. I know myself though, and I'll want to put my mouth on his member during a handjob, but I don't want a mouthful of KY jelly--a lubricant that's mouth friendly would be nice. So what are some of your favorite edible lubricants? I just want to put out there that I am a little sensitive to certain chemicals, so please divulge any reactions you'd had to these lubes as well, lol.

I also found this great substitute for if you don't feel up to having sex, but still want to play an active role in your man's pleasure, this is --for lack of better words-- a vaginal substitute, but it doesn't look like a vagina! I've seen those vaginal sleeves before that resemble anatomically correct vaginas, and they're not necessarily a turnon for me or my guy, but this one is called the Purple Pickle Pleaser by Dr. Sadie Allison. I liked it so much, that I ordered it this morning. I think it could be fun, plus I like the color purple! Now, I just need a flavored lube suggestion to use with it. I look forward to hearing your responses and recommendations. You guys always have great advice.

Oh, Bayou, you've got me all wrong. I'm a gentle and sensitive soul seeking tender, romantic experiences. When I give my body, my heart goes with it. I remember one time, back when I was still an astronaut . . .

Hmmm, yeah I don't want a bad aftertaste. That would bother. I think what you suggested about the samples is best, this way I won't have to invest a lot of money with something I'm not satisfied with. Thanks for the products suggestions.

Hi Little Mascara,
To answer your question, yes I'm familiar with Kama Sutra products. I use their honey dust, massage oils and body art kits. However, I haven't ever looked at their lubes. I never paid much attention to artificial lubrication in general anyway. I've seen flavored lubrications, but it never registered with me as to what they could be used for, and I have no trouble getting turned on, so I didn't think it was a necessary accessory for us to have. Also, the only lubricant we've ever used is KY, which is for anal play with us and I never want that stuff in my mouth (bleh). I'll see if Kama Sutra has a product sampler of their lubrications as well. I guess I'll be doing a taste test with all these items like an appetizer sampler platter, lol. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have no earthly where you could've gotten that impression! Oh, yeah . . . from me. Nevermind . . .

Enjoy your salad, dear.

Olive oil in the nether regions, huh? Wowzers. Hmmm, never thought of that. Are you talking about for handjobs and anal, or vaginal as well? If you have any resources I could read about olive oil being used as a lubricant, that would be interesting because I didn't even know that could be done, lol!

I can certainly understand how it might strike you as odd. Of course, being an elderly gentleman, I heard it often growing up. And I'm afraid I haven't kept up with the latest hippy argot, or whatever language the whippersnappers are using these days to earn their so-called "street credits." You shan't hear any "ho" from this rake, heh, heh. Oh, me, I've made myself chuckle, heh, heh.

I, too, enjoy a good fresh salad. This Christmas past, the children presented me with one of those gizmos that purports to toss your salad for you. But--and don't let the kids know--I still think I do a better job of it myself. Heh, heh.

Oh, yes, olive oil is the oldest known sexual lubricant. The ancient Greeks were using it as such at least 2500 years ago. I use it primarily for handjobs (yes, most of them self-administered) and for anal sex, but of course it has a way of wandering here and there. Other lubes are more, well, lubricative, and come out of the sheets more easily, but there's something wonderfully resonant about olive oil, if you're inclined to be susceptible to such notions. I enjoy the aroma, and the way it compliments, rather than clashes with, our natural scents; I'm enamored of the conflation of food and sex; and I find it both romantic and a little primal to be bathed in the oil of Dionyssian festivals. Not for everyone, and not for all the time, but, well, I guess it's best if you form your own opinion. :)

I've never bothered researching it before, but googling "olive oil lubricant sex history" brings up a lot of info, not only about olive oil, but also about other ancient sex pracices. Pretty intersting stuff, really. Happy reading.
