Hey Little M,

I have a fairly large collection of art books done by pin up and fantasy artists. I totally appreciate and admire their talent but it doesn't do anything for me sexually.

Jazz,

Who do you like?

I have and like Soroyama, Jennifer Janesko, Frank Frazzeta, Brom, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Chris Achelios, Olivia, Louis Royo and Mobius.

I love the way Jennifer Janesko paints eyes.

Aloha,

MWC

Hmmm, looking at pictures from the Kama Sutra don't really arouse me so much as they make me want to act out what they're doing. The pictures portray the couple as looking very much into what they're doing or about to do--like sex is the most natural, romantic and fun activity in the world. The whole vibe about those paintings, not to mention how ancient they are make me want to achieve the same feeling and appreciation for sex that the painters captured in their subjects. The only thing I wear even close to what the women in the Kama Sutra wear is a thin, gold belly chain, and ankle bracelets (I wear these because I like body adornments though, lol).

In one of my earlier posts, I was raving about this website that has a Kama Sutra mat. It's dimensions are such that you can more accurately partake in the positions featured in the ancient love manual. I suppose if you go through all the trouble to do this, then you'll be participating in erotic art yourself. As we all know, making love is an art in itself. I liked your question...very thought-provoking.

I wasn't familiar with most of those names so I googled them.

Jazz,

Of all of those Soroyama has to have the widest range. He does sexy robots to fetish. His fetish stuff is definitely not for everyone.

Anyone in particular you liked?

Jazz,

Olivia's style is very similair to Vargas (WW II pinup). Her art routinely appears in playboy.

Very interesteing work. Looks like it is very complex to make.

I'll confess I love Soroyama and Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell), as well as Vallejo. Occasionally there's an H-anime that gets my interest, but much of it is just too abusive of the women for my taste.
