done something really sentimental for your SO? Something that is borderline silly?

When you were in school do you remember making "mixed tapes" for your friends/crushes/girl or boyfriends?

Me and my gf got together at Valentines day and made our bfs a mixed CD...it was all for fun.

For my birthday my bf made me a mixed CD..which I love to listen to

And my dh made his gf a mixed CD and gave it to her last week for fun.

I made my bf another mixed CD because soon he'll be doing some traveling and I wanted him to know i'd miss him and i'd be thinking of him.

I gave him his CD and last night we listened to it together. He really liked it.

I was just wondering what kinds of things others do to keep them on their SO's mind :o)

I agree Maggie...I love it here...when I first started posting something happen that scared me back into a lurker, but after talking to one of the CL's I warmed right back up. I love reading about others stories and I love commenting and giving whatever advice I can give. I love the Hot seat and other fun topics.

Pardon me for asking a question..I wasn't judging you and I see your point now that you've pointed out that this is one of the few places you can talk about your bf. Makes sense. I just find it ironic that several people talk about this place being one of not judging and inclusive to all, and in the same sentence make disparaging comments towards myself for merely asking a question. I won't call it hypocritical, but I think there's a bit of the "we accept all opinions, as long as they don't disagree with ours" "vibe" from some on this board. Oh well, I'll just go back to lurking since my opinion is apparently not welcome here. Thanks for answering my question though dolphinchic, was merely curious and not trying to judge you, to some of the others, might want to take a look at how "open" to the opinions of others you REALLY are.

Scooter, I didn't see anyone make any disparaging comments toward you.

One poster made reference to a "stupid remark"..and the overall feeling I got was a negative one: an us against them(me) sentiment.

I only said I hoped that I wasn't being judged. I know it's hard for people to understand my situation if they are not a part of it or even know me personally. I have been judged here before and It was hurtful.
