Curious as we recently met a couple who pretty consistently has sex ALL night! This was not an exaggeration.

We thought as a couple we were doing fabulous -- sex at least 5-6 times a week...30-45 minutes --- on occasion an hour.

What about you?

*Note we both work full time and have 5 kids... he is 41 and Im 34

If it wasn't for the yeast infection, I wouldn't have any issues with my IUD.

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!! I am so sorry you went through that agony. I had more problems with the pill than you can imagine, my family and I SUFFERED every month when I was PMS'ing.

My mood swings were horrendous, my bleeding was uncontrollable, you name it? It was out of control. So the depo has been a life saver.

I take a multi vitamin with a calcium daily :-)

Until I first came to ivillage because of my birth control problems, I had no idea the prevalence of problems that women have with it, because people just don't talk openly about it here in NZ.

no problem if you every have any questions just ask. It was very hard on our sex life and I always felt guilty. Like it was my fault even though I could not control it/

Hey X!

You sound like you have been through a lot trying to find something to work that doesn't work against you. Not to the severity of it...but I just had to switch a couple of times.

I was on the Depo for 5 years and tried it again after DS#1 was born. I had a lot of bleeding issues then, and ended up switching to the patch which was new then. It worked great, and I planned on going back on it after DS#2 was born. In March and April, I started having an allergic reaction to the adhesive...my dr switched me over the a BCP that has a very low dose of hormones, but enough to do the trick and so far so good...but it has only been a month.

DH has volunteered to get things "fixed" but that is just so permanent...I'm not ready to deal with that...so until then, I'll just keep playing the switch-a-roo game until my body agrees with it.

I really hope you get everything cleared up and find something that will work for you!
