Is it really that ugly?

OK, I seem to be on a roll here with the male body parts questions and nope, not gay nor meterosexual but...really want to know.
I heard two nurses talking today (I'm in the medical field but not a doctor) and they were saying how ugly an uncircumcised penis is. I was hurt as my little buddy is uncut altough I really couldn't just tell them that or offer to show them. Probably get fired for it but would have been fun as they were kind of cute... ;)
Is it really that bad? I don't know as becuase as I've said before only one gal, the DW has seen mine and shes never complained. I see alot of uncircumcised guys in porn movies although I do know here in the US, more guys are circumcised than not.
Do women really rate them that way and if so, what are us uncut guys to do? I don't really plan on doing anything about it but am going to be really self conscious at the doctors next visit or anytime someone may see my friend down below.
Wow, if it wasn't bad enough just being normal in size, now I have to worry about how he looks! Jeez!

What surprises me is the double standard for men and women- it's considered mutilation if someone cuts a female, but cutting a male is still being excused by saying it's for hygiene reasons. If you think for a minute about the female genitalia and all the labia and folds and the ease with which women can get UTIs due to bacteria getting into their comparatively short urethras... It seems to me that teaching our little girls "proper hygiene" to avoid infections should be as huge of a deal as it is for guys. Intact men have only one relatively uncomplicated fold of skin on an organ which juts out from the rest of the body (meaning that it's much easier for a man to examine his folds, checking for anything unhealthy than it is for a woman to check herself downstairs for any visual indication of a problem).
I have two girls and two boys. My boys are intact, and with one 24 hour period of exception, their foreskins/penises have never been infected, even in infancy when the diaper keeps urine and feces close to the baby's body until the diaper is changed. My girls, on the other hand, frequently got yeasty rashes and swelling. So...
I think I'm preaching to the choir. My point is that it's rarely necessary to teach PROPER HYGIENE to kids. As they mature, they very quickly figure out that stinky and painful is bad, and soap and water is good. Doesn't take much more than that. :-D
isis truth,
"I would have no problem getting up close and personal with an uncircumcized penis!"
Alright, from all us uncircumcised guys, thats good to know. :)
I am glad to see how many uncut men there are here. My son was born earlier than we had expected - DH and I had never talked about getting him cut. Come time to make the decision, DH wasn't around and partially due to the cost (no insurance and every penny was a major expense!) but more so to the fact I didn't want anyone carving up my baby, I said no thanks. DH was furious with me - he just assumed that I would know to have it done. He never was able to tell me why it was so important to him - I think because it was just what the norm was! I figured there was no religious reason for us, cleanliness didn't seem to be reason enough for me and I figured if my son wanted it done when he was older, he could have it done. You could always take it off, but not put it back on! He is almost 15 (GULP!) and has never had an infection or other problems - is the only uncut boy in his class, but has never been embarrassed by it, so I'm glad I made the decision I did for him.
As far as the two nurses talking? I used to work in a hospital (housekeeping) and talk of sex, peoples bodies etc are just a way of coping in stress related jobs. It probably wasn't the classiest thing for them to be speaking of, and since I wasn't there, I don't know if the conversation was meant to be overheard or not, but I personally don't think I would have been offended by it, even if they were talking about a womans body. Some women think ANY penis is ugly - cut or not, so take it with a grain of salt....
side note - just read my first sentence.... lol OH, if only I COULD see how many uncut men there are here! lol Naughty me, I will go sit down and shut up now.... See Nola, I said it was dangerous when I was bored..... the mind just wanders to the gutter!
lust
LOL ... I was wondering what package you had that allowed you to see everybody!
