Much of the porn created especially for women is by women, or perhaps that should be biwomen. Porn created

of course, there is. There are quite a number of women who direct porn films, there are a number of websites created by women for women that deals with erotica and porn (I have several bookmarked on my computer), there are several publishers who bring out erotica for women (most of it is on e-books, though there is a lot of them in print form) and there are lots of women here on the iVillage boards who write erotica and porn (me included). Porn and erotica is not geared only to men, never has been and never will be.

Tom - Lot's of pornography is just plain bad. Inane plots, goofy dialogue and cheesy music make me want to laugh rather than get it on. Lot's of stuff made for guys depicts the female orgasm in a way so patently false as to be (pardon

Here are some websites for you to look at. I obviously can't put down the direst address due to TOS, so just substitute a . where I've typed (dot):

barebackmag(dot)com
www(dot)cianarose(dot)com/main.htm
www(dot)cleansheets(dot)com/toc.shtml
www(dot)darkerotica(dot)net/Erotic/Quills.html
www(dot)janesguide.com
www(dot)susiebright(dot)blogs.com (one of the leading female writers on sex)
www(dot)pinkflamingo(dot)com (my favorite place to order erotica. This company is owned and operated by a woman)
www(dot)scarletletters(dot)com
www(dot)pornmoviesforwomen(dot)com/femaleporndirectors.htm (a list of the leading female directors of porn)

While porn in the 50s to the 70s was directed toward men, there has always been an underground movement for porn for women, particularly for lesbians, just as there was an underground movement for gay men and people who were into BDSM and other activities. Nowadays it's a lot different and more and more women are directing porn and there are more films for couples and for women in particular. We women have always been told by men what we're "supposed" to like and now we women are telling men what we do like. One gender can't speak for another.

As for my own writings, I don't put them up on the boards here on iVillage because I find the TOS policy to be too restrictive for me. And as for now the only other person who reads my material is Master. Perhaps one day I'll publish what I write.

Tom, I think the biggest difference it that men don't care about the "story", they make pornos about sex. Men tend to be "cut to the chase" and "bottom line". Hence, the reason why the "actresses" can't really act and the dialog is horrible.

Women tend to go for the build up and the story behind the sex acts. I can remember watching pornos with my ex and it was just people having sex for no reason. (Okay I know you don't need a reason, but you know what I mean) Just because two people end up in a room, they suddenly have sex? I just didn't care for it. I am, and I think many women are the same, like a story, we like the "romance" or the "foreplay". I mean yes, the UPS man can come to the door and the woman of the house may end up having sex with him, but it's the dance they do that gets them there that is fun and erotic.

I generally don't like porn. I would much rather read erotic stories. I am a very visual reader so I can really get into it. Also, when you read, its a bit slower paced and I like the build up. There doesn't have to any romance or relationship, but there should be "something".

There's my two cents worth.
