HI everyone

I find it interesting that although we have our strong views on what we like ,what we do, and what we dont,, we still have a religion that we fall back on.

It would be fun to see how many different religions we have represented on this board through the members.

Please do mention along with which faith you belong to, how you have felt it affect what you do / dont do in bed or along the taboo lines.

When I was a kid my parents made us go to a Baptist, then Methodist church. I don't know if it was the church or the preacher, but there was a lot of fire and brimstone and I knew I was going to burn in Hell because I didn't eat all my dinner or did poorly in school. To top it all off, when I turned 11 we had to go to catchism (sp?), where we studied the bible and religion. I had one episode there, not with the church but with my own parents that set me on my current path.

I had a workbook we used for studies and they asked us to draw how we thought God looked. Everyone drew the typical old man in a robe with a long beard, the sandals, et cetera. I drew a horse, something I did every day. WHen my instructor asked why, I said because horses were the epitome of beauty and that's what I thought of God. My mom chastized me and said I did it just because I liked to draw horses and that she had better not see it again. I refused to go anymore and eventually stopped going to chuch altogether.

After years of wandering and reading on different religions, I found that paganism suited me more. I tend to be pretty eclectic in my studies and try to learn from all religions, and it has made me the happiest I have ever been. And my main deity of worship is Epona, who is like a protector or guardian of horses. It made everything make sense, including the fact that seeing horses makes me feel all warm and weepy and that I belong there with them.

Sorry. I tend to babble.... : )

You probably won't hear of anyone from the Islamic faith. they're amazingly conservative. My aunt was married to a muslim for a while and he didn't even like his kids watching kissing scenes on tv. lol so I doubt any muslim would come on here.
