"Sunday I tried to lure him back to bed and he said he didn't want to waste his day away in bed. OUCH!"
Oh my goodness, I'll say that's an OUCH!
I always feel a little guilty for complaining because my DH does have legitimate medical issues, but I know two things: 1. He exaggerates his problems as an avoidance mechanism, and 2. He manages to overcome whatever problems he's having in order to do projects that don't really need to be done in the first place (making him too tired for anything else, of course).
Every once in a while, I'd like to move up to the No. 1 spot on the "to do" list without having to coax and cajole my way there. Funny, that didn't used to be just a fantasy...
Now would that be the boisterous kind, or the quiet indulgence kind?
To revel is to immerse oneself totally into the enjoyment of something, the pleasure of it. Had I been presented with a boisterous pleasure... my reveling would be rather loud, quite noisy. Should the nature of this pleasure be quietly indulgent....my reveling would be slow, long, lavish and languid. I would take my good sweet time....reveling.
Hey em, I just realized you were somewhere near Seattle... Anywhere near University Place? I have some friends there. And will hopefully visit soon....
University Place isn't too far from me, but traffic is generally horrendous between here and there so I've only ventured there once in the nearly 10 years I've lived in this neck of the woods. I hope the weather isn't quite as bad as it's been for the past couple of days when you visit!
Went and visited them last year and went to the Puyallup Fair/Rodeo... That was great. I love it out there. Hadn't been there since out honeymoon 14 years ago. I love going to Pikes Marketplace... I think that's that name of it...

EM! My day is now complete. I had thought I passed through it with nary a hat on my horizon.
Thank you for a fine example of a GD hat. How lovely that it graces your Christmas tree!
I am rather fond of that feather. It gives it such a jaunty flavor!

I have a certain weakness WRT Mr Depp.
It is unexplainable, somewhat inappropriate ad rather delicious.
Just like that pirate cookie!
