Reading the Submission thread has given me an idea...

A lot of books were discussed in that thread that I'd never heard of (the Story of O was the only one I knew).

The sound you hear is me patting myself on the back for remembering that from one of your posts!

Give me a little time to go through my sex books and I'll post some here. They will all be erotica, erotic romance and non-fiction, BTW.

Ok, here is my list. First for non-fction would be Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns: The Romance and Sexual Sorcery of Sadomasochism by Philip Miller and Molly Devon, Erotic Surrender: The Sensual Joys of Female Submission by Claudia Varrin, Come Hither: A Commonsense Guide to Kinky Sex by Gloria Brame, How to Write a Dirty Story: Reading, Writing, and Publishing Erotica by Susie Bright, Sensuous Magic: A Guide to S/M for Adventurous Couples by Patrick Calfia, Different Loving: The World of Sexual Dominance & Submission by Gloria Brame, William Brame and Jon Jacobs, Radical Ecstasy: S/M Journeys to Transcendence by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy, Wild Side Sex: The Book of Kink by Midori, The Story of M: A Memoir and Beauty & Submission both by Maria Isabel Pita.

For erotic romance I would recommend Unmasqued: An Erotic Novel of the Phantom of the Opera by Colette Gale and Victoriious Star: Interstellar Service & Discipline by Morgan Hawke.

For erotica #1 is The Story of O by Pauline Reage. Also on my list is Return to the Chateau: Story of O, Part II by Pauline Reage, The Darker Passions: Dracula by Amarantha Knight (AKA Nancy Kilpatrick), Taboo: Forbidden Fantasies for Couples, edited by Violet Blue, Bound to Love: A Collection of Romantic BDSM Erotic Stories edited by Maria Isabel Pita, MASTER/slave edtied by N.T, Morley, Color of Pain, Shade of Pleasure edited by Cecilia Tan, Sacred Exchange edited by Lisbet Sarai and S.F. Mayfair, He's On Top: Erotic Stories of Male Dominance and Female Submission edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel and all of these books edited by Alison Tyler: Slave to Love, Love At First Sting, Best Bondage Erotica and Best Bondage Erotica 2.

Ok, so I lied. I would also add from the fantasy genre the Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey (which proved that I was most definitely a pain slut!): Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, Kushiel's Avatar, Kushiel's Scion, Kushiel's Justice and Kushiel's Mercy (coming out this summer). I love this series though it's a little complicated to explain so that it makes sense. Here is a site you can go to if you'd like to learn more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kushiel%27s_Legacy

Since no one's mentioned it on this thread, I'll throw in "Secret Garden" by Nancy Friday - women's fantasies presented as they wrote them...it was fascinating to me earlier in my life to know that other women fantasized just like I do

Hi mom_tina!

I have one volume of Anne Rice's Beauty Trilogy.

For those interested she writes under the nomme de plume... A. N. Roquelaure.

I have the first of the series.....The Claiming Of Sleeping Beauty...

I have not got around the the remaining two.

Great suggestion mom_tina!

thanks for the book recommendations. I really love what Diablo Cody did with the Juno screenplay. I seriously thought it was sch a great film. Now I look forward to reading her book.

I must be honest MrsP...the first one in the Sleeping Beuty trilogy was the best, the other two are not quite as good. The play between the characters becomes a little ridiculous at times thoughout the rest of the story. Theres alot of re-hashing of the same stuff over and over.

Just my 2 cents ~smile~
