Just curious if any of you have been called an "Ice Queen" at some point in your life.

Have I been called an Ice Queen? Why yes I have, in fact it's a mantle I wear often.

Actually it's "Ice Princess" in these parts. I am certainly not shy, I doubt anyone has ever thought me so. I am very direct, very outspoken and have trouble suffering fools. I do think, however, that I wear that Ice Princess crown because of my reserved nature more than anything else. I'm perfectly fine with that tag. My reserve has served me well and certainly never inhibited me in relationships that were forged with sincere individuals. What it has done is helped me to wade through the BS that clogs most attempts at friendship with individuals who really aren't interested in the kind of friendship I want to pursue. Those that know me, not just superficially, find the journey to be rather warm and a pleasant endeavor they like to remain engaged in for quite some time.

I think Ice Queen is used to describe both prudish behavior and that which lacks emotion. And yes I've been referred to as one in both respects on more than one occasion. Although I believe my favorite exact phrasing was "Ice Queen of the cold hearted b----es" pretty significant title to have bestowed upon ones self.

Hi Chatte!

It's nice to meet you!

I think Ice Queen is used to describe both prudish behavior and that which lacks emotion..

I choose what emotion to show and have marvelous self control. The depth of what I'm feeling doesn't need to be on display. I rather like to think that some things are best kept private or shared with someone significant.

As far as being prudish...sometimes what is seen as
