My costume right now is leaning towards something involving a tuxedo coat with long tails... a tux shirt... blue jeans, red Converse tennis shoes, and a cool cowboy hat I bought in Sante Fe on my trek last May...
Trip was fantastic. I wish I were still away. It was hot, hot, hot in AZ, but I survived and enjoyed it! I did learn that there are an awful lot of different kinds of cactus!
Ooooh, you will look so handsome. I wonder if you'll share a photo.....
faboome- OMG i saw those in like "rainbow" (ladies clothing store) or something. LOL i considered getting them, but decided against it, as i didn't know if i should wear something sporty or like a dress with them....LOL.
Oh, Jim- your all stars remind me of the wonderful time when chucks were $10, and I had like every color! And you also remind me of a cool teacher I had in HS who always wore the funniest ties when we had quizzes (he was the ap trig teacher)- it helped us to lighten up before a test.
Good evening.... yeah... we called them 'chucks' or 'all-stars'... what great shoes... some shoe company bought out 'Converse' a few years ago and their first plan was to scrap the 'Chuck Taylor"... a little market research however indicated that was the best selling shoe that Converse had... and Converse wasnt even aware of it!!!
It's great that you remember that teacher... did he make a difference for you? If so, you need to let him know. I get the greatest satisfaction out of hearing from former students... and as I said somewhere... I wear my shoes to keep me grounded... so that I dont get caught up in thinking that Im anything greater than a teacher... make sense??
A couple of more days until the wedding!!! Im as excited as she is!!!! Maybe... :o)
