Yup! I play those games as well (Everquest and Neverwinter Nights 2...never heard of Diablo...might have to check it out)...I love rp- its a good escape from the stresses of everyday. I'm also a writer, and when I'm in Second Life I just make up stories around my characters and play them out with unsuspecting residents...LOL. My current story is of a half woman/half beast who lusts after the undead...tee hee. I have yet to try the chat room RP, but I'm looking into it.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge- I LOVE reading your threads...I learn a lot each time.

Our psychological reality, which lies below the surface, frightens us because it endlessly surprises us and drives us in a direction which society's rules and organizations define as wrong or dangerous
When W/we got O/our new computer it ended up with Windows Vista, which W/we hate, BTW. In the beginning W/we could play Diablo 2 on it and then about 6 months later W/we couldn't. It just lagged something horrible. Microsoft said that it was a problem on Blizzard's end and Blizzard said that it was a problem on Microsoft's end. In other words, Blizzard already got the money from the Diablo fans a long time ago and was raking in the money with WoW, so they were focused on the WoW fans and left us Diablo fans high and dry. So I went without Diablo for like a year. Then Master starting playing WoW (He found out that just about His entire family plays, so He can play the game with them) and He tried to get me to play it as well. I'll admit that I got a little whiny and told Him, "But I don't wanna play WoW! I wanna play Diablo!" So He went back to the Blizzard site and they've finally decided to placate their Diablo fans and told a way that you can play Diablo with Vista. Master had to fix it so that it actually pops up in a separate window, so the playing screen is a lot smaller than I'm used to, but at least I can play my favorite game now!
I'm a writer as well, so I write stories concerning all the characters Master and I have created over the years. W/we have entire families now. And there isn't a complete human in the whole bunch. I discovered when W/we were in the RPG rooms in Yahoo Chat that I'm great at improv story telling and can make up stories on the fly. I don't have to sit in front of the screen and think and think. I can just get my character and run with her.
Hehe..I'm a total gamer....though lately have been playing alot of Xbox games as opposed to computer ones...I'm obsessed with Oblivian, which is a role playing game and the new grand theft auto..as for role playing...hehe...D&D nerd right here LOL
