Why thank you for the vote of confidence....lol. It was very funny......her little legs were just a churning!!
I guess if you can't run with the big dogs, get out of the pack, ya know...:))
I sorta broke the ice with the parents by commenting favorably
Morning back at ya eccentric one!!
Well, I'm sorry to hear your evening was boring.....mine was too, so I know of what you speak....:). No welts or bruises to speak of then I guess.....that sux. At least you have your favorite weekend to look forward to.....I'm guessing you'll be in so much pain by early Sunday morning, you'll have a smile on your face big enough to light up a room!! Good luck in your quest for complete submission Lothiriel style...whoo weeee.
Hehe...yeah we sat around last night and had some good pumkin ale from a regional brewery and watched Gordon Ramsay yell at people on Kitchen Nightmares lol...tonight will be for DS and hopefully Sunday morning will be just as you described ~smile~ I've got yoga class in the morning at 9am too, so I'll be good and limber as well ~evil grin~ I also got a bottle of home brewed mead from a buddy of mine, and some steaks to grill up too.
So how about you? Any big plans for the weekend?
Limber is good......lol. Think legs up and around your noggin'......the possibilities are simply endless!!
Never had mead before. I'm thinking that's some sort of dark brew...thick enough to cut with a knife.
I'm having a few friends over tonight.....we'll sit around the fire pit and tell scary stories and drink several adult beverages.....then we'll go down to the local tavern later and listen to a live band play.....I know the band members well. They're good. Saturday I'll watch some football, and Sunday morning I'll be golfing with my son. All in all it will be a good weekend. Any weekend that I can win some of my sons money on the golf course is a good one.....lol.
I hope you enjoy yourself Saturday night......just don't hurt yourself.......;)
Hehe..yes limber is good! I've been doing yoga for 10 years and the studio I go to recently invited me to go through their teacher training program...I might actually do it, depending upon what kind of money I could make as an instructor, a career change would be good for me.
As for the mead, it's one of the oldest alcoholic beverage known to man. It's made from honey, alot of folks refer to it as honey wine. It has a high alcohol content and is bitter and sweet all at the same time if made right. I love it.
Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. WHen I was younger I used to play golf every Sunday with my dad, but we never get out there anymore. What kind of band are you going to go see? I have alot of friends who are musicians, a couple of them even got their bands signed to record labels. They're all heavy metal though, imagine that lol. Tomorrow I'm going to lay low, go to yoga and hopefully sit down with a book for a while before the evening festivities begin.
LOL i can picture it- little kid zooming away...hilarity!
hahaha nice comeback with the sweatshirts...i'm sure the parents were like "hmm yea ok mister..." tee hee!
Hilarity is a good way to describe it.......:))
How are you doing since you have that little bundle of love to enjoy BTW? Nothing can compare to a newborn don't you agree.
We're doing well...lack of sleep gets to me sometimes, but other than that no complaints! I was just reading her a story, and almost fell asleep in the middle of it...when I opened my eyes, she was smiling at me, like "geez mom, wake up!"
ITA- NOTHING can compare- its like having all the love in the world wrapped in a little bundle that you helped to create.
You have a nice day too, and ty for asking!
The innocence about them, the smell of their skin and hair, their complete dependence on us, the way their tiny little bodies seem to mold themselves to us as we rock them to sleep.....all of that I'm now getting to experience all over again with a grand daughter, so I can appreciate better what you're going through.
The other week we were baby sitting her for a few days.....my DW would put her to bed at night after reading to her......eventually she began crying......I was told to let her cry a bit and she'd fall asleep. NOPE....I snuck upstairs 2 nights in a row and lifted her from the crib and sat in a rocker holding her, singing to her, taking her all in until she finally gave into the fact she was exhausted and fell asleep in my arms. I didn't want to get up and lay her down ya know.......geez, there's nothing in this world that can compare to having a tiny, helpless baby in your arms IMO. Not in my world anyway.
I remember doing that with my own daughter......and thinking at the time how lucky I was to have the privilege of fathering her back then. I sometimes think of those days gone by, and wish I could do it all over again. Enjoy each and every day spent with your little girl. They grow up so fast......sigh.
