yes ... warmth does cause this expansion ... as does friction ... amazingly ... reduction in friction due to excessive lubrication only causes increased expansion!!!

my dear lady ... i seriously doubt you "dust off" your hands after checking your engine ... you'll need to towel them off ... engines tend to leave sticky stuff on fingers ...


The "dusting off" of my hands was due to their getting a tad soiled from closing the hood of my car following my brief inspection.


You don't think I checked the fluids now do you? I have a wonderfully capable mechanic at the ready to handle those tasks for me. I am, however,
