I know- ugh she just....sometimes she can be REALLY hurtful! She disapproved with the way I've been living my life since like college, and would turn me away from visiting her, would refuse to call me or respond to holiday cards and such...just recently she scoffed when she found out I was preggers (I'm "young", and unmarried), and didn't talk to me my whole pregnancy. Right before all this happened, I had resolved just to let the negativity go and talk to her when she was ready to love unconditionally...now that she's sick, I feel bad for not having talked to her in so long...UGH!
Please don't feel bad. I'm sure it was nothing that you did. You know, old people are just set in their ways. Sometimes you just gotta bite your tongue and let it go.
Thanks- I agree. I'm going to spend the day with her tomorrow, and have resolved to forgive and forget. I fear we don't have much time left together, and I want her to leave us with pleasant memories, if she has to go. Thank you for your insight, gal!

Don't you know you're not supposed to argue with gramma... Call her and tell her how much you love her.

Hi sistah....
I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother.
IMO...I think you should put what has happened in the past behind you...all the hurtful, negative things that she has said and let it go.
