It will always be pop and it will always be called a sub. I was teased mercifully while I lived in NY for calling it pop. I once went into an ice cream shop while living in NY and asked for this neapolitan ice cream and the person looked at me like I have 14 different heads, I guess out there it is vanilla/chocolate/strawberry ice cream...
