NH is going or has gone in for a surgery she has needed for awhile. She has shared her troubles with most of us here. Please send out your prayers to her and her family.

We LOVE YOU NH!!!

"So do I.... but I went through three men before finding someone who knew what they were doing"

I know this is just a naive "male" type of question, but what was it that the guy doctors didn't do that the female doctors did do?

"they were not listening to what I was describing, listening to what I needed"

That I am sure can be a very frustrating situation. I have known some doctors like that.

"The first three MDs made suggestions geared toward DH being able to enjoy sex with his wife....the last MD plotted a solution to allow ME to enjoy the sex"

So you are saying here that it was the differences in gender that gave different perspectives on the one situation. I can definitely see how that can occur, and definitely it can work against you as the patient sometimes.

"My current MD sought a solution for me."

That's great that your current one did find you a solution that was for you, but I am sure that since it did work for you, it probably helped out not only you but your husband as well.

"BTW...I did not find your question naive at all..."

Thanks, I am a very curious person. Most things that are brought to my attention that I don't know I instantly get a number of questions that come to mind.

Based on this experience....the three males took the correct and appropriate course to treat me...but left my sexual needs out of the solution.

"I just feel that, as a woman, she had a different understanding of what I needed and what I was seeking in treatment"

It sounds like you found a very good one then. It must make you feel confident to take any and all concerns to her.

Are you walking around like that today? and if so, do you have any details about the reasons?
