The tops of her cycling socks peeked out the tops of her shoes. Embroidered across the top of the socks read a message 3000 women participants and thousands of spectators more would all agree upon…..”Cancer Sucks”.

Very beautiful! As you know, I have fought that battle with both of my parents. The outcome of both of them resulted in moving from this world to God, however their loss taught me many things about how good life can really be.
Live each day like there is no tomorrow people. Dont sweat the small stuff. Enjoy your life and your family. Never let a day go by without telling those close to you that you love them.
Thank you Singletrack for the bit of morning inspiration.
I love you Friend!
Beautifully stated. The human spirit is definitely a wonderful thing. Thank you for reminding us.
Hello there I am a 10 year cancer survivor. I am a volunteer with the American Cancer Society's -Relay For Life in our town. I am sure the the event you attended was just as emotional as Relays are.
We had our Relay this past weekend. I cannot tell you about all the tears of joy, sadness and hope as the survivors made their first lap around the track.Freinds, family and strangers cheered them on. I had on sunglasses to hide my tears. Tears of joy for those who have survived and tears for those who have not. Some used walkers as loved ones
What a great testimony to the grace and strength that a trial like that brings out in people of all kinds.
what a wonderful and touching thing to read.. Bless you for posting it...
