Sex and the semicolon

I thought some of the writers on the board might get a kick out of this column on the punctuation mark that makes men tremble. Oh, and for the record, I'm secure enough in my sexuality to freely embrace subtlety and nuance in my punctuation. My guess is that male writers who dislike it probably aren't very good in bed either.

Gee, I wonder what one can say about those who prefer the run-on sentence, and their relevant performance in bed. lol

Thanks for the article, Steve! I happen to use semicolons quite often in my own writing. Hmmm.....maybe I'd better check Master's own stories to see how many times He uses the semicolon. That almost sounded dirty, didn't it?

Am I to ask for a writing sample before considering a man a good potential bedpartner?

My.....the thoughts that pop up.

Does colon overuse indicate anal retentiveness?

There are probably worse ways of selecting a bed partner, Mrs P. If he is in fact able to provide a writing sample, you will then have ascertained beyond a reasonable doubt that he is in fact capable of communicating via the written word, which in turn increases the likelihood that the post-coital conversation might turn out to be interesting.

Yes Steve....and we all know I like it when they can talk!
