My parents never told me anything about my Bio parents...I recently reached out to the adoption agency to get medical records and whatnot, and they sent me info about my ancestory as well....Norwegian, Irish and German...that information is invaluable to me...I had always wondered froma

Well, some of the other Bonds weren't too bad, either, but yes, Daniel Craig puts a big smile on my face, too! :)

Well, to both you and moon, i am glad to hear happy stories. Not only did that Brit make me smile, but you two talking about your lives made me smile. I think that it is odd and fascinating how we connect with people and learn from people even though we are miles apart. I am very happy for you.

Oh, and that martial art thing? I would love to start doing something like that, any words of wisdom for a beginner?

How very true sunshine ~smile~

Tips for a beginner...beware of schools just out for your money..there are alot of them and you won't get training you can actually use should you need to. Check out the instructors creds and make sure he really knows waht he's doing, also do some research on different martial arts styles to see which art suits you best. I take Bunjikan Ninjutsu, a traditional Japanese form...it is rough, full contact and aimed at teaching you combat skills that use your body type and size to your advantage over anyone of any size, but the training is very rigorous and you will get hurt.

Many martial arts teach you by doing Katas..which is basically just a sequence of movements...problem with that is, if you learn everything in a kata, you don't really know how to apply it to a real life situation, Taekwondo is a good example of a kata based marital art. However if you can find a school that teaches traditional Taekwondo and not the americanized version, you're better off.

It all just depends on what you're looking to get out of martial arts...for me...I want to be a ninja...lol...I want to be able to kick butt with my hands and with a weapon..but not everyones looking for that type of thing....if you want to grapple...then Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the way to go...if you want to learn to fight with a knife the Philipino art of Kali is the best...I've notcied Kickboxing is a place alot of women start..but theres a big difference between "Kickboxing" and Muay Thai, which is real kickboxing and its pretty hardcore...if you can give me an idea of what you're looking to get out of it I can steer ya in the right direction.

Thanks for the kind words sunshine!

There have been some odd 'coincidences' (I don't believe in coincidence) between us.

Thanks. I am looking for something first of all that is a work out. I don't like the gym, or running or things like that, it needs to be something that holds my interest. I also want it to be real, something I can actually seeing myself doing if the need arises and feeling confident about it. Some of that stuff looks so cheesy when you see it on TV and stuff. I don't mind getting hurt, in fact i have a very high pain tolerance, so I'm not scared of that.
And once again, the more I get to know you, i realize you have many, many sides. Thanks so much for your help. I just think you are so very nice and

Hey all!
I don't usually just post here, or want to butt in... but there were multiple things on this thread that peaked my interest...
(little on me...I usually hang out on the MHM board...making my way around the village)

First..yumm on the Bond guy pictures!...and the accents...yum again...

Second...Martial arts...Sunshine, I have been looking into the same thing! I took a year of Tae Kwon Do...loved the training and getting in shape...but I also think it would be a challenge to try kick boxing....you'll have to keep me posted about what you may come across...I gotta get my bod in shape for my new found sexual awakening that's going on!! LOL!

Third...all the talk about adoption...wow..I am also adopted so it was very nice to read all posts about it....not sure how easy international adoptions would be to research for myself...

Wow..think that was it...I was really drawn into your discussion here!...and it was not totally focused on sex...well, the first part had some pretty nice anatomy to study!
