My husband loves thigh highs but I cannot wear them without a garter belt because they roll down my legs and its freaking hard to snap the garter belt onto the thigh highs to keep them up. Ugh is there an easier way?? Or maybe a trick to get them not to roll down???

Rarely are questions so meant for my expertise.

Sista,

Take a look at the brand of thigh highs. There are some that have a semi-adhesive plastic that is stitched inside the top of the garment. Ordinary varieties end in lace or some elastic, and that just isn't enough. Check out some different versions of the stuff and you'll see the tops of the them differ greatly.

And before anyone tries to make the comment, no I'm not a cross-dresser, I just demand that all my women wear these particularly sexy garments.

Wow I have only got mine from wal mart lol. I didnt realize it made a difference. I also thought all garter belts were pretty much the same. Im going to have to invest in some more expensive ones. Im not really sure where else to look though. We have Christies toy box here but thats about it and most of the outfits I buy there fall apart fairly quick. I got some stripper shoes there and they lasted a month at most. They were sooo cute but it was not cute not being able to work for the rest of the night. You cant dance without shoes , its considered prostitution ... I dont understand how but whatever.

If you can hit a Nordstrom's that your best bet.

Victoria's Secret *may* work, but an upscale department store(including their web site) is your best bet.

I am like your husband. I love thigh highs. I am not a fan of the full pantyhose though. Skirts, thigh highs, and sexy boots. that's the killer combination IMO.

As was suggested previously, you can get the type of thigh high that has a sticky surface on the inside of the top part to keep it in place. My wife isn't a huge fan of those because they can get pinchy, and a little irritated if they worn for a long time.

If you already have some with just the lace on the top, you can buy double sided tape. it will stick to the material and then stick to your skin on the other side of the tape.

Another suggestion that doesn't feel flattering but everyone's body shapes are different. You can try finding a pair that are larger. I think you can buy some with specific sizing requirements. I know my wife is fit and because of that her thighs are a little thicker and very firm, so she found many to be too tight and then would roll down a bit. If you can find some styles that have a wider top that will be more comfortable if you have the sticky/sticky tape variety.

Thats the same problem I have , I have large but firm legs as well. Walking in stilettos at work all night def firms up the legs and butt. :) I would really like to get a nice school girl outfit. I have been looking at different websites today to find one, I cant make up my mind out of a few different ones.

Hi and welcome Jenn. It's nice to meet you. Will you please fill in your profile so we can know something about you? Thanks! Stick around and jump in anytime. The people here are great.

Well, me personally, I got my last pair at Target. They have almost like an elastic around the top and they are covered in lace. What kind of problem are you having with the garterbelt? The two I have I bought at Fredericks of Hollywood, years ago, and never had a problem with them.... Why not have you husband help you with the snapping????
