Wow, what a deep question! Let's see. Lots of things make me happy. Sunshine and warmth, family, (even though they are pain in the necks), husband, friends (of course all you folks are included), relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea, being outdoors on a beautiful day, a bouquet of carnations. Oh, I can just go on and on...

Lots of things make me happy. Sometimes I get caught up in the nonsense of life and I feel ungrateful for the many blessings I have. I appreciate everyone's posts- just the reminders I needed.

What a beautiful idea, A, and how well you expressed it. It's true that when something happens to us beyond our control, the only choice we have is how we react.


I'm with you- most days I have a smile on my face because another day is another chance.


What I've been having more difficulty with lately is long-term, inner happiness. I'm struggling a bit with what exactly that is and how to achieve it.


BTW-I'm sure your smile is truly beautiful.

My husband and little boy...the friendships I have built...cool cloudy days...a nice cup of coffee and a good book...the nature of my relationhsip with DH....practicing martial arts...talking to the gods...many may things make me happy..I've learned to appreciate the little things alot more latley
