18yr old man--I've got a crush!

I have a water aerobics instructor that I have a crush on. He's very mature for his age, but I'm 27!!! He has the hair color that I am drawn to(red), sings Opera, likes classical music, and has a few other characteristics that I like. But he's so much younger than me, I just don't know whether or not he would be interested in an older woman, or a fuller-figured woman. He did initiate a conversation with me after class on Monday, and then I saw him today at a resturant up the street from where I work and we talked for a few minutes. I got to find out something else about him that really turned me on(it may sound weird to some people, but hey!): he wants to buy a kilt. I about dropped to the floor when he said that. My coworker friend that also takes the class w/ me said I'm moving too slow because I want to ask him for his number or whether he has a girlfriend but haven't yet...and that if I don't ask him by Friday's class, she will do some 'investigating' for me. I just don't know whether this is too much of a long shot. But it's been a longggg time since I've had a crush like this, and I don't want to regret not asking. And I'd be completely ok with him not being interested in me that way(that's that whole mature, smarter wiser woman thing) but yet don't want to make him uncomfortable either.

So there's the question..........any answers? Guys' answers especially appreciated.

Thank you!!!!

I would place gym instructors up there with bartenders...it's their job to be nice to their clients...but you can always ask him out...you did say something about 'the whole mature woman thing'?

It takes a lot more than a good personable attitude to make me crush--but I understand where you are coming from....but you don't really answer the question, do you? Yes, I am mature(that's why it amazes me that I have a crush!)---I've always heard that younger men like older women, but generalizations aren't what I'm looking for. I'm looking for opinions on this.

Well, I did find out more about him...he's single but he only wants to date someone between 17 and 19. And is a Mormon. Knew it couldn't really be anyway---that's often how crushes end up anyhow, right? The unattainable is always most desirable. I can still look at him and THINK anything I want. I would like to hang out with him for sure...but right now have to let the hormones run their course. Then I can just be friends...but right now, can't stop the naughty thoughts. Brains, talent, and attractiveness are hard to find in many people, too bad he is too young. SIGH. Oh well. Thanks for some feedback. I guess I didn't really need it(good thing with only a couple of responses anyway!)

bye
