Am I His Girlfriend?
| Mon, 09-12-2005 - 1:37am |
I have been dating this guy for almost 2 weeks, and I have spent the night a couple times with him. He says he's crazy about me, and he likes being with me...and I feel the same way. I asked him if he was seeing other people as well, and he told me that he is only dating me. I asked him if that meant we were dating exclusively, and he said he didn't want to put a label on it just yet. Sometimes he'll refer to me as his girlfriend, though. My friend says she thinks it's strange that he hasn't actually asked me to be his girlfriend yet...but is he going to literally ask, or is it just implied?

PG doesn't want to hurt your feelings.....however....it sounds like you've become A BED WARMER for this man! And there's nothing EXCLUSIVE when it comes to that! Most men will never turn away from this sort of 'perk!'
Don't you think that 'exclusivity at 2 weeks' is a little early? Most couples who are serious about "getting to know each other" want to spend time together....outside the bedroom?
Here's something else to keep in mind.
If you're seeing each other every night of the week---the 'novelty' will probably wear off very quickly!

Since he told you that it was too early to put a label on it, then why are you? He just said no, but you're still sitting there going, "ok, well, then we are..." I think you need to relax and take things as they go, and if you're looking for an exclusive relationship, then maybe you should hold off on the sex until you've agreed to be exclusive. If he bawlks and ends it, then you know what you were there for, right?
