Anniversary question

I went on a few dates with a guy before he asked me to be his girlfriend. Neither of us were dating other people before we became officially exclusive. Should I count our anniversary from our first date or from when we officially became a couple? Also, do people usually just celebrate yearly anniversaries, or do they do something for the month, six month, etc.?

I generally count it from the day we met (or our first date, depending on whether we knew each other in person before the first date or not).

Not every guy is into marking milestones like that (nor is every woman, for that matter)...some are, some aren't. So I wouldn't say there's any "usually" about it...it's whatever the two of you decide as a couple. My last ex was pretty into it--he was the one who brought it up every month, as a rule...but we didn't "do anything" other than notice the date, really.

I'm glad to hear things are going well...you guys decided to be exclusive pretty quick, didn't you!!!
